Chandra Atwood took general education classes as well as some paralegal classes during her college years before working as a receptionist for a solo practitioner in southeastern Idaho. In 2013, her strong communication and organizational skills allowed her to advance quickly to a legal assistant. In 2014, Chandra and her family relocated to north Idaho where she was hired as a paralegal at a law firm handling family and criminal cases. Through her paralegal work, she gained experience in child protection cases, family law, and criminal law. She joined the team at Moss Immigration Law as an immigration paralegal. Her experience now includes family-based immigration, business immigration, and cases in removal proceedings. As a Senior Paralegal, she also works on cases in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eastern District of Washington Federal Court.
In 2020, Chandra completed a paralegal course and received a Paralegal Certificate from the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). To further her education, she also completed AILA’s Permanent Employment Certification (PERM) Course in which she received another Certificate.
Since the beginning of her employment at Moss Immigration Law, Chandra has assisted with the firm's administrative duties. In 2019, she became the Office Administrator along with handling her own caseload. From 2020 to 2022 she helped manage Moss Immigration Law's offices, staff, training, and administrative duties, and continued to work her caseload while supervising staff. Chandra took a sabbatical from July to November 2022 and is delighted to be part of the team at Moss Immigration Law again. Currently, Chandra is focusing her abilities on clients and casework as Senior Paralegal.
When she is not working, Chandra spends time making memories with her family. She loves game nights, cooking for her family, and exploring the outdoors.
