Maria was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México where she studied history at the University of Guadalajara. Studying History is one of the most gratifying experience of her life. She loved every aspect of her studies — Sociology, Anthropology and all that surrounds humans and their history. Of course, issues surrounding immigration were not an exception.
Eleven years ago, she married a US Army Veteran and they have two beautiful children. They moved to Washington in 2016. Her husband and two kids are excited to have moved to the pacific northwest where they can appreciate all four seasons of the year, especially the snow. Her kids fell in love with the snow, a phenomenon that they did not experience in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where there is only one season all year long: “hot”.
Having gone through the immigration process herself. She knows all the uncertainty and anxiety that one will experience during this complex process called “immigration”. She looks forward to working with all who come though the office. She promises to dedicate all her time and effort to the best of her abilities to make this complex process as easy and bearable as possible.
